Thomson’s Coffee Roasters
Thomson’s Coffee was founded in 1841 when 24 year old David Thomson, a tea and coffee merchant from Edinburgh, moved with his young family to open his first shop on St Vincent Street in Glasgow.
Thomson’s is now proud to be an independently-owned Scottish family business with a rich heritage. Quality and integrity are at the heart of everything they do. Having invested in state-of-the art roasting equipment that not only doubles capacity but also allows them to produce exceptional coffees of unrivalled quality and true provenance.
We are super excited to feature Thomson’s Coffee Roasters with two of their varieties Brazil Paraiso and Colombian Suarez Disrtrict.
Brazil Paraiso
This coffee is farmed in a traditional coffee-growing district of Cabo Verde, in a region that presents ideal conditions for coffee production: average altitude of 950 meters, low humidity and favorable temperatures. It is medium roasted and has tasting notes of Pecan, Raisins & Chocolate.
Colombian Suarez Disrtrict
Suarez has a great biodiversity and the perfect climate for coffee growing; the cherries are picked by smallholders with their families and generally washed and dried on the farm, often at high altitudes on steep slopes. Medium roasted with tasting notes of Milk Chocolate, Treacle & Caramel.
